Here is some coverage by DW.com for the 2015 Wacken Metal Battle that took place at Wacken Open Air in Germany a couple of weeks ago. We had the pleasure of running into these fantastic people on several occasions throughout the festival grounds and they always offered us kind words and praise! They also interviewed us as we were cooling down with some delicious German beer after our set on the WET stage!
We were a little taken aback when they ushered us into this mobile studio tent complete with massive cameras, lights, couches and – you guessed it – more beer! We had a good time doing it though and can’t wait for the full footage to surface!

“28 Newcomer-Bands aus der ganzen Welt traten im “Metal Battle” gegeneinander an. In diesem Jahr waren auch Teilnehmer aus Ländern mit dabei, die nicht zu den Top-Heavy-Metal-Nationen zählen – etwa aus Uruguay oder Japan. Die besten fünf stammen aus Dänemark (Savage Machine), Großbritannien (Metaprism), dem Libanon (Blaakyum), Israel (Walkways), und der erste Platz ging an Vesperia aus Kanada. Alle Siegerbands erhielten Geld- und Sachpreise in Form von Instrumenten und Verstärkern. DW-PopXport war Medienpartner des Metal Battle und stellt die Bands in denPopXport-Sendungen in fünf Porträts vor.”
